Neck of the Woods Dance Club, San Francisco, California - Bathroom Review

I've been taking Salsa classes for about a year and a half and have really enjoyed learning something completely new to me. My regular instructor however went on maternity leave and so my girlfriend and I have been trying to find a new place to take a class. She found Salsa classes were being held at Neck of the Woods bar & lounge in San Francisco so we decided to give it a try. I have to say that my experience at this place made me appreciate how spoiled I was with my instructor Tianne. With her class we were in a well lit dance studio with mirrors on the wall which provided plenty of light making it easy to see what she was doing. In this club, it was very dark and difficult to see and the noise level was very hard to understand what the instructor was saving. If I had started my first salsa class at this dance studio, it's doubtful I would have ever stayed with it. There really wasn't anything wrong with the class or the instructor but having been spoiled before made it frustrating for me to want to continue in this class.

Taking a break from instruction, I decided to go visit the bathroom. When I walked in, I was thoroughly disappointed with the theme. Essentially it was just a bunch of graffiti and bumper stickers all over the walls. At this point I've seen one other bathroom with graffiti on the walls the Latitude of Oakland however that bathroom was done very tastefully in that it encouraged guests to leave notes but also encouraged them to be respectful of the facilities. The Neck of the Woods bathroom just looked like a Highschool bathroom where vandals had struck and decided to make a mess of it. For a dance club that was trying to give the appearance of being upscale, the bathroom was a huge letdown. The owner should understand that the appearance of thir bathroom is how the guests will treat it. Overall, this bathroom is getting a zero flush rating because even it's attempt to be artistic was a fail in exectution.
