The Baseball Bat Test: See & Hear What "Vandal-Proof" Really Means

Demonstrating the difference between our competitors' "Heavy Duty" 18-gauge stainless steel material and our Vandal Proof material is quite challenging. The best way we know how is to just take a baseball bat and beat on them so you can see the performance. This one minute video shows a standard plastic jumbo roll toilet paper dispenser, a "heavy duty" Bobrick toilet paper dispenser, and our Vandal Proof 12-gauge toilet paper dispenser while being attacked with an aluminum baseball bat.

The "gauge" of steel refers to its thickness and the higher the number, the thinner the material while the lower the number, the thicker the material. To give an idea of the actual relative size between these different thicknesses, you can refer to this chart. Here you can see that the industry-standard (Bobrick or Bradley Stainless Steel Dispensers) use 22-gauge stainless and their "Heavy Duty" dispensers use 18-gauge stainless steel. Our own 12-gauge material is 4X the thickness of 22-gauge and over 2X+ the thickness of 18-gauge material. This results in massive additional strength that we put to good use to ensure our products truly meet the definition of tamper-proof. Nearly 5x the Bending Strength against prying. Over 10x the Stiffness to prevent warping. Dramatically Increased Impact Resistance against kicks or sledgehammer blows.

Showing Our Strength the Vandal Stop Way

Demonstrating the difference in our products to our competitors can be a challenge. Before we put together our "Baseball Bat" video (see the video above if you missed it), we did various photo shoots putting our products to the test. In one of our most enduring demonstrations, we parked a semi truck and trailer on top of our 12 gauge products to see how they held up.
