This product listing is for the administrative processing, tracking, and shipping of Custom Product Prototypes. It is intended for clients currently engaged in a development project with Vandal Stop Products.
Prototype Evaluation Agreement: To ensure resources are dedicated to serious evaluation projects, a $25.00 shipping and processing fee is required to initiate this order. By proceeding, you agree to the following terms:
- Evaluation Fee: The $25.00 charge covers standard shipping and validates your intent to evaluate the product for potential adoption.
- Return Policy: The prototype is a loaner unit and must be returned to Vandal Stop Products after your evaluation is complete.
- Volume Incentive: If you place a production order for 10 or more units, you may keep the prototype at no additional charge.
- Non-Compliance: If a qualifying order is not placed and the prototype is not returned within 90 days, you will be billed for the full manufacturing cost of the unit.
IMPORTANT: Do not order this item unless directed by Vandal Stop staff. Unauthorized orders will be cancelled.
At Vandal Stop Products, we partner with facility managers and architects to develop custom solutions for unique vandalism challenges. This Custom Product Prototype page serves as the bridge between our design team and our manufacturing floor, allowing us to track the fabrication and shipment of your test unit.
Once a custom request has moved through our initial design phase, we produce a physical prototype to ensure the fixture meets your real-world needs before committing to full-scale production. Ordering this "product" places your custom unit into our fabrication schedule and validates your shipping address.
Prototype Evaluation & Billing Policy:
We invest significant engineering and manufacturing resources into every custom prototype. To ensure we prioritize serious evaluation requests and eliminate non-serious inquiries, the following terms apply:
- Shipping & Processing Fee: A flat $25.00 fee is charged at checkout. This covers shipping costs and serves as a commitment to the evaluation process.
- Evaluation Period: You have 90 days from the date of receipt to evaluate the prototype for fit, function, and security.
- Return Requirement: Unless otherwise arranged in writing, the prototype is considered a loaner unit. It must be returned to Vandal Stop Products upon completion of your testing.
- Keep it for Free: If you proceed with a bulk order of 10 or more units of the final design, the cost of the prototype is waived, and you may keep the test unit.
- Invoicing: If 90 days pass without a return shipment OR a qualifying production order, an invoice will be generated for the full manufacturing cost of the prototype.
How This Process Works:
- Step 1 (Completed): Design concept approved.
- Step 2 (Current): Place this order to acknowledge terms, pay shipping/processing, and queue fabrication.
- Step 3 (Fabrication): Our shop builds the unit based on current CAD revisions.
- Step 4 (Review): Receive unit, test fitment, and provide feedback.
- Step 5 (Resolution): Return unit, place bulk order (keep unit), or pay for prototype.
