Installation Recommendations

For best results, use hanger bolts with tamper-proof security nuts for secure mounting. Hardware must be 3/8” stainless steel (not included) appropriate for the wall surface. Ensure 3/4” or greater back bracing for maximum strength. Through-bolting is recommended where possible.

Installation Note

Upon delivery, many customers mistake the backside of the mirror for the reflective surface. To identify the correct side, look for the grey protective plastic film with blue lettering—this covers the true reflective mirror surface. The rear of the mirror, while somewhat reflective, will not have any protective wrap. Carefully peel away the grey plastic film to reveal the polished stainless steel mirror surface. Due to laser-cutting precision, the protective film may be difficult to remove, but rest assured the side with blue-lettered grey film is designed to be removed before installation.

Inspection Prior to Installation

Maintaining the flatness of polished stainless steel mirrors is critical. Upon receipt, immediately photograph the unopened package from multiple angles to document its condition in case of shipping damage. Before installation, lay the mirror flat and carefully remove the protective film for inspection. Check the reflective surface for dents, scratches, or warping caused by transit. Minor surface imperfections may be considered normal depending on mirror size. Any defects must be reported before installation; once installed, mirrors are considered accepted by the contractor or end user.

Mirror Surface and Reflection Quality

While not glass, the AA-PSM’s #8 polished stainless surface provides a clear, functional mirror reflection with the added benefit of safety and impact resistance. Slight visual distortions may be present depending on the size and mounting surface, which is normal for polished stainless steel. These mirrors are intended for environments that prioritize durability and safety over optical perfection.

Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions

• Use a Mild Cleaner: Apply a non-abrasive cleaner like Windex and wipe with a soft microfiber cloth to maintain clarity without scratching.
• Dry Thoroughly: Always ensure the surface is completely dry after cleaning to prevent spotting or moisture retention.
