Product Overview
The AA-EB-2170 is a low-profile, high-security outlet enclosure designed specifically for surface-mounted 2-gang electrical applications, such as 220V dryer outlets. Equipped with a heavy-duty cam lock system and stainless steel construction, it provides reliable protection against vandalism, power theft, and unauthorized appliance use in communal laundry environments and apartment complexes. The slim 1” depth allows for a secure, unobtrusive installation over existing infrastructure without requiring recessed wall modification.
Note 1: High-security MEILOCK 8350 Cam Lock is included.
Note 2: Receptacle outlet is not included. Designed to fit over standard surface-mounted 2-gang boxes typically used for dryer outlets (NEMA 14-30).
UL Certification & Code Compliance
Our heavy-duty enclosures are engineered strictly as secondary architectural physical security hardware. The AA-EB-2170 does not house electrical wiring; it is designed to be surface-mounted directly to the structural wall over your existing, fully compliant, UL-listed electrical box and its associated UL-listed cover. Because our product operates entirely outside the electrical system, it does not require an independent UL electrical listing. To comply with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) bonding requirements (such as NEC 250), the stainless steel enclosure can be readily bonded to the equipment grounding conductor by your installing electrician.

Material & Warranty Options
This unit is available in two standard material thicknesses to suit your facility's specific security needs. Both options include a corrosion-resistant Satin #4 brushed finish and are available in 304L stainless steel (standard) or marine-grade 316L (for saltwater environments).
- 12-Gauge (Vandal Resistant): For high-risk areas requiring maximum durability. Offers up to 3x the strength of standard boxes and is backed by our Anti-Vandalism Warranty (protects against prying by hand/body).
- 16-Gauge (Tamper Resistant): For lower-risk, supervised environments where incidental abuse is the primary concern. Backed by our standard Functional Warranty.

Installation
Concrete / Cinderblock Walls: Secure fixture to wall using all four mounting holes with appropriate 3⁄8” stainless steel anchoring hardware (not provided) for optimal installation strength.
Sheetrock / Wood Frame Walls: Two mounting holes must align directly with the wooden stud that supports the existing electrical box. For the remaining two mounting holes, use heavy-duty toggle bolts to anchor to the sheetrock. Note: For new construction, it is recommended to install 3⁄4” plywood backing behind the sheetrock to provide solid support for all four mounting points. For retrofit applications where adding backing is not feasible, toggle bolts are an acceptable alternative for the non-stud mounting holes.
Specification Guide
Outlet Security Box shall be constructed with 12 gauge (Vandal Resistant) or 16 gauge (Tamper Resistant) 304L or 316L Stainless Steel joined /w TIG welds and edges de-burred. Custom gauges shall be available upon request. Outlet Security Box shall not be cross-metal contaminated during manufacturing construction. Outlet Security Box shall provide protective cover for 2-gang surface mount applications (specifically 220V dryer outlets). Outlet Security Box shall be secured with Cam Lock. Outlet Security Box shall have 3⁄8” mounting holes. Security Box shall accommodate standard electrical outlet styles. 12 Gauge models shall include an Anti-Vandalism Warranty (Hands Only). 16 Gauge models shall include a Functional Warranty. 316L SS shall be used for US Navy maritime use or if exposure to salt water is prevalent.
