Vandal Proof Single Gang Electrical Outlet Security Box with Protected Padlock Housing
Product Overview
The AA-EB-1G-PL is engineered to provide uncompromising protection for single-gang duplex receptacle outlets in environments where vandalism, unauthorized access, and environmental exposure are constant risks. Crafted from heavy-duty 12-gauge stainless steel, this tamper-resistant box features a concealed shroud for padlock protection, shielding the lock from tampering tools and weather. Replacing the older AA-EB-3R model with improved access and versatility, it supports ½” and ¾” conduit through both the bottom and rear, making it ideal for public and outdoor electrical applications.

UL Certification & Code Compliance
Our heavy-duty enclosures are engineered strictly as secondary architectural physical security hardware. The AA-EB-1G-PL does not house electrical wiring; it is designed to be mounted directly to the structural wall over your existing, fully compliant, UL-listed electrical box and its associated UL-listed cover. Because our product operates entirely outside the electrical system, it does not require an independent UL electrical listing. To comply with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) bonding requirements (such as NEC 250), the stainless steel enclosure can be readily bonded to the equipment grounding conductor by your installing electrician.

Available in 12-gauge 304L or 12-gauge 316L stainless steel for marine-grade corrosion resistance. All models include a Satin #4 stainless steel finish for a clean, durable appearance. Installation Guidance
Designed for surface mounting with 3/8” anchor holes (hardware not included). Installer must choose appropriate stainless steel hardware for the application. For optimal durability, ¾” or greater back bracing is recommended. Partition wall installs may require T-nuts or through-bolting techniques. When possible, it is recommended that units be through-bolted back to back, providing optimal installation strength.
Specification Guide
Security Box shall be constructed with 12 gauge 304L or 12 gauge 316L Stainless Steel joined /w TIG welds and edges de-burred. Security Box shall not be cross-metal contaminated during manufacturing construction. Security Box shall provide protective cover against drip and spray. Security Box shall be secured with Pad Lock. Security Box shall have 3⁄8” mounting holes. Security Box shall accommodate standard electrical outlet styles. 12 Gauge models shall include an Anti-Vandalism Warranty when properly installed and locked while in service. 316L SS shall be used for US Navy maritime use or if exposure to salt water is prevalent.
