Product Overview
The AA-EB-3R is a legacy, compact yet rugged lock box designed to protect single-gang electrical outlets from vandalism, unauthorized access, and weather exposure. Fabricated in the USA from heavy-duty 12-gauge stainless steel, this box is built to safeguard outdoor or public-facing electrical access points in transit centers, correctional facilities, parks, and high-traffic areas. The integrated padlock shroud, removable backplate, spray deflection, and dual conduit access (rear and bottom) provide a highly functional and secure enclosure.
Note 1: Item replaced by the AA-EB-1G-PL.
Note 2: Padlock is not included.
Note 3: Receptacle outlet is not included with the housing. Most boxes on the market should fit, but for a known receptacle box that was tested to fit, click here.
UL Certification & Code Compliance
Our heavy-duty enclosures are engineered strictly as secondary architectural physical security hardware. The AA-EB-3R does not house electrical wiring; it is designed to be mounted directly to the structural wall over your existing, fully compliant, UL-listed electrical box and its associated UL-listed cover. Because our product operates entirely outside the electrical system, it does not require an independent UL electrical listing. To comply with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) bonding requirements (such as NEC 250), the stainless steel enclosure can be readily bonded to the equipment grounding conductor by your installing electrician.
